Step 1: Control panel. Register or login to access your Control Panel screen. To begin, click on "Manage Skills & Questions." From the Control Panel you can create and manage required skills and questions; create new jobs and manage your received submissions; and update your personal or company information.
Step 2: Required skills. Specify the skills you require for your jobs by adding new skills to your database. You will see the complete list of your required skills any time you create a new job on Strawlink. You can specify any and all of these skills by simply including them in that job's profile.
Step 3: Questions & answers. For each skill, create questions you want to ask prospective candidates. Answers can be in multiple-choice or single-answer format. For each answer, specify the number of percentage points you want to award. Strawlink screens candidates based on your questions and answers. The candidate with the most accurate answers is awarded the highest points. Add any number of questions and make them as challenging, broad or specific, as you need.
Step 4: Create jobs. Once you have listed your desired skills, create a job profile. Access the Control Panel screen and click on "Manage Jobs & Submissions."
Step 5: New profile. To create a new job profile, specify a name or ID for your job. Describe the job position, and check the application requirements. This includes resume, cover letter and required skills. Strawlink enables you to choose all the requirements and skills you need. We use this data to screen applicants in the most effective and efficient manner. For instance, if you want a resume with every application, we automatically request one from the candidate and factor his or her response into our screening process. If skill A is more important than skill B, we calculate the candidate’s points accordingly.
Step 6: Link for candidates. Once you have created a profile, you will be taken to the Jobs & Submissions page. Here you will find a list of all your open jobs. Each job has a unique public URL, which will be displayed next to the job ID or name. Integrate Strawlink screening into your recruitment process with this public URL. Whether you advertise your job on message boards, freelance sites or offline, use your public URL to direct applicants to Strawlink. We screen each application and present it to you in the form of a ranked report.
Step 7: Candidate's application. When a candidate accesses your public URL, he or she is directed to the corresponding job application. Candidates are required to enter their contact information, and can attach their cover letters and resume as required.
Step 8: Candidate's answers. Next, candidates answer the questions created by you for each skill. Strawlink gives recruiters complete control over the screening criteria. Detailed requirements and questions maximize your chances of finding the best talent.
Step 9: Hits & submissions. Click on "Manage Jobs & Submissions" to see the number of hits and submissions for all your open job profiles. To see details and screened applications for a particular job, click on its submissions.
Step 10: Screening report. Here you will see free Strawlink's screening report for each submission. Candidates are ranked in order of points received, based on their application and answers. To purchase contact information for a particular candidate, click on the shopping cart icon on the left and confirm your purchase. Strawlink screens all your submissions and provides you free access to the results. Depending on your requirements, you may purchase any number of contacts. And if you do not find the right match, there is no obligation to purchase.
Step 11: Contact information. Receive the contact information for your chosen candidate(s).
Step 12: Full access. By purchasing a candidate's contact information you also receive full access to his or her submission. This includes cover letter, resume and answers to each of your questions. You may use the complete application for any legal purposes. Hire candidates straight away or initiate the next step of your recruitment, such as an email, phone call or face-to-face interview. You may also access a purchased candidate's application anytime in the future for other jobs.
